Hopefully this is also a sign that CONCACAF rivals are improving, which is great for the women's game but less so for fans accustomed to comfortable 6-0 routs.

Agreed, definitely some questions for Andonovski to answer in terms of the backline and who makes up the front three. Many games during this W Championship to answer them. The refereeing was definitely questionable at times (How did Haiti have 11 women on the field for the second half!!??). On the positive side, Alex Morgan is in fine form and I like what I have seen from some of the young faces like Ashley Sanchez, Sophia Smith and Trinity Rodman.

There’s certainly work to do in the back. It was the poorest game I’ve ever seen Becky Sauerbrunn play. “Rock-solid” is her usual norm, and maybe that’s been taken for granted too long. Hopefully that’s just a bad game.

I couldn’t believe it when the red card was rescinded. Certainly a CONCACAF-worthy decision.

But like you said, a 3-0 win is a 3-0 win. Thursday’s game with Jamaica should decide the group.

Those are the 3 main points. A fourth would be the passing of the USWNT. The passing was slow and often inaccurate. The Haitian pressing caused real problems. It looked like the team isn't doing enough rondos during training.

I though Alex Morgan looked great and Megan Rapinoe showed some nice stuff in the second half. The red card was borderline from the start since contact happened with the leg bent and the player was mostly trying to avoid the contact. If the referee thought she had seen something different like contact to the face or contact with the leg straight, then the VAR might have considered it a clear and obvious error and asked her to take a look. If you want to see what excessive force to the midsection really looks like, check this one out: https://youtu.be/qkIP7TDfc8s. Here, not only was a red card not given to the guilty player (Alex Morgan) she was actually awarded a pk. Probably a few Haitian fans/players out there haven’t forgotten.

I don’t think the midfield did anything on either side of the ball. Rose was visible but usually surrounded by 4 Haitian players until she lost the ball. O’Hara and Pugh worked well on the right, but the left side was useless. Team was far too deliberate, allowing Haiti to regroup after an extended run. Fox and Becky seemed a mess. Changes are needed.
