Thanks for answering my question, Grant. As much I have been 100% supportive of GB, I’m not a fan of having the USMNT coach serve consecutive terms. I can see the validity of having this young group grow with the same coach, but I have flashbacks to Klinsmann.

As for striker, agreed on 3 for Qatar. It’s funny that in 6 weeks we’ve gone from having no confidence in players at #9--and considering moving a winger to center forward--to folks demanding we take the hottest 4 CFs now!

Man City has proven over the past few years that a #9 isn’t an absolute requirement for success.

Having said that, anybody who watched Haaland against Palace today knows that a #9 sure makes the job easier.

Grant, I'm also an enthusiastic and non-compensated endorser of FotMob. Found out about it because Toffee Club here in Portland credits the app on their weekly watch boards. Love it for the reasons you stated and the ability to quickly find all matches across the globe and where I can watch them. And it's free (at least the version I use)! I love hearing the gong notification when a national team player or a Timber or Thorn scores.

Folarin Balogun, Arsenal, on loan to Ligue 1's Reims, was born in NYC and is eligible to represent the US (as well England, for whom he plays for the U21s, and Nigeria, through ancestry).

This season he scored 3 goals in 3 games for Reims and played phenomenally.

Talent-wise he can be ranked around the top of the list (for me, preforming against MLS defenses proves a little less, so I'd rank them Pefok, Sargent, Balogun, then Ferreira). Question is will he play for the US if he's called, and will he be called.

No love for Brandon Vazquez at the 9? Feels like he’s at least in the picture and Berhalter has mentioned him by name a few times.

No, we should not refer to Jordan as just Jordan. Because, a, there's another Jordan in USMNT pool right now. But more importantly, b, I remember in 2002 a columnist saying that some players only need one name, and Clint is one of them, and of course he meant Clint Mathis. And now, when someone says "Clint" without specifying 2002 or RSL, we think Dempsey.
