Does your infectious disease partner think you contracted the B.5 variant? It is the Covid version most rampant now, and seems impervious to the vaccines and boosters. We all enjoy your work and are happy to pay for the content you provide. Your interview ( radio insert) was great. The post career “ fate” of many players is unknown to most. We see many former stars in tv roles and assume that’s what everyone does. Best regards

Thanks for the honesty, Grant. Don’t wear yourself out. And thanks for the (unfortunate) reminder that COVID is still out there. Be as safe as you can, folks! I know sooner or later we’re all going to get it, if we haven’t already. And we may get it again. In the meantime, get your shots!

Grant, I really hope you are all the way back to 100 percent. As someone who has never gotten COVID (I think the Atlantic just coined the term "COVID virgins" ;-), it seems clear this thing is still hanging around and picking people off. My grown son got it twice--the first time asymptomatic, the second time was tougher. Thanks for being honest and open, and for all the continued great work!

This site is absolutely worth the money, Grant. Get (all the way) well soon.

hey Grant -- thanks for opening up. Hope you are feeling better. In terms of US coaches moving abroad, I have to think that as MLS becomes more and more of a selling league, those top players will (hopefully) rave about their US coaches, and then urge their teams to bring over their former MLS coaches. For instance, though it pains me to say it, I can't imagine Sebastian Driussi being in MLS next season, but wherever he ends up overseas, maybe he talks up Josh Wolff and that's how JW gets a shot at an assistant job somewhere...

Take good care of yourself and I hope that you don't ramp up your activity level too soon after recovering from Covid. That said, both the interview with Brian Dunseth and your newsletter about your recent travails were excellent, honest, and a good reminder as to why subscribing to your feed is worthwhile.

Take care of yourself, contracting Covid after avoiding it for more than 2 years is not a failure. At this point, those of us who have not gotten it are more lucky than good…the vaccines help, but more importantly help with the terrible outcomes. Get healthy and we will enjoy the stories when they come.
