How shitty of a human being do you have to be for FIFA to say " let's go with the old guy that was busted for getting handsy with an Asian prostitute" over Danie Snyder???

Baltimore/DC missing out is a travesty. Yet another reason Dan Snyder continues to let down the DC metro area by failing to maintain FedEx to even minimum standards.

M&T is a great venue and should have gotten the nod over Foxboro. It is downtown and would have offered a great location for visiting fans to access hotels and dining on the Inner Harbor. It is also just a short train ride from our nation’s capital for international visitors. Truly a missed opportunity.

I think Baltimore and and especially Nashville would’ve been better venues than Foxborough. FIFA is rewarding Kraft for not finding a suitable venue for his Revs. FIFA gonna FIFA.

As for Canada, they are upset Edmonton was dissed. Yet Toronto was the only bid from an MLS venue that Isn’t primarily a football property first. They are going to need to add seats to 45K at BMO, but no similar venue would’ve made the cut in the USA. BC Place will need to upgrade, too.

The mayor of Edmonton was asked if the Alberta government's conditions were to blame for not getting the nod. He said he didn't think so, that they sent a letter stating that they would take whatever number of games. However, it sounds like that was a late letter, possibly last Wednesday even. In my mind, too little, too late, FIFA's minds were set. Grant, based on your information, is Edmonton not receiving games because of the initial conditions set by the Province or did it come down to other factors?

It’s appropriate that Kraft who has done so little for soccer in the US and Boston in particular is picked by FIFA. They like each other because they see so many similarities in each other.

I’ll be interested to see which “region” they choose to place USMNT for its group stage matches.

Why would Houston, Dallas, Monterrey and Mexico City not be considered "Central"?

I know you are from KC, but it is crazy that it won over Denver. Denver has a better airport, newer stadium, better infrastructure, better weather, stadium is walkable from downtown, and clearly better tourist attractions. KC has…bbq. Does this really come down to the committee bid quality? It must be $$ somehow, right?

As usual, too much east coast bias.

Denver & Charlotte should have gotten picked instead of Foxboro/Boston.

Put the Finals in Arlington. JerryWorld is still better than SoFi Stadium and it's more centrally-located than the far-left coast.

I believe Central describes the time zone and not geography. Within the Central group, only Atlanta is on Eastern Time during June/July

Grant, I have to disagree. It’s ALWAYS better to follow the money with FIFA.

I, too, would LOVE to see the Rose Bowl chosen for the final, simply from the historical perspective of ‘94 and ‘99. Those are what put futbol on the map here.

Someday how much money Kraft and Kroenke slid across the table. Because I’d bet my house that’s it’s way more than even we would imagine.

Thanks to your reporting I knew what to expect but for some reason I was still mad when they announced the cities. I honestly think it was the use of Central to describe a bunch of cities that are not really in the center of the US.

Grant -- You're supposed to be on vacation. So do that -- be on vacation. This stuff will all be here. Take time off, relax, refresh and have some fun and tend to family.

You do a great job. We need to keep you happy and mentally healthy so you can continue to do that

So, chill out. And stop reporting

My two cents.

I am just excited to find out, in December 2025, which groups of fans are coming to party in Seattle. I’m hoping that the Soccer Gods put countries in cities with matching immigrant populations — can you imagine the scenes if South Korea plays in Vancouver, Japan in Seattle, China in San Francisco, or, let’s face it, literally anyone in Los Angeles and New York? This is going to be amazingly awesome and I can’t wait.

It’s going to be great despite FIFA and it’s totally corrupt DNA.

How is FedEx Field a disaster? btw The Washington Post was similarly vague about FedEx Field.
